Dresden's Zwinger Palace

Dresden's Zwinger Palace was built from 1709 to 1732 by Poeppelmann and Permoser. It is the epitome of baroque ceremonial architecture. It formerly showcased tournaments and festivities for the court. Today, it contains the Gallery of Old Masters, the Armoury, the Porcelain Collection, the Museum for Mineralogy and Geology, as well as the Mathematics and Physics Collection.
